MANSFIELD DISTRICT REPORT 2008   

During the year membership totalled 81, of whom 8 were junior members, 23 OAP’s and 6 newly elected.

A successful meeting was held at Hucknall in March. However, the number of district members who attended the bi-monthly meetings throughout the year averaged 6 and in two instances no ringing took place and the meetings were abandoned. The practice meetings were almost entirely reliant on the support of the local ringers, who carried on with their practice as usual.

No other activities were arranged during the year, no Quarter Peal Day and no team entered the Crawford Cup Competition.

My thanks to the incumbents and tower captains for the use of the bells and church facilities and to the Guild Officers and members who have given their support.
